Terms of Use – Mais Gestão

Language note. This document was filed with the app stores in Portuguese. The English and Spanish versions are provided for convenience — where they diverge, the Portuguese text prevails.

1. Acceptance of the Terms

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Mais Gestão app, developed and maintained by ScaleCodex (“we”). By downloading, installing, accessing or using the app, you declare that you have read, understood and fully agree with these conditions.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the app and uninstall it from your device.

2. About the app

Mais Gestão is a personal finance app that lets you record income and expenses, organise entries by category, account and card, set monthly budgets and review reports for the period. With an active account, data can be synced to the cloud across the user own devices.

The app is distributed through Google Play and depends on the Android operating system of the device, as well as on an internet connection for the sync features.

3. User account

By creating an account in the app, you undertake to:

• provide truthful, current and complete information when registering;
• keep your access credentials confidential;
• not share your account with third parties;
• notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

You are responsible for all activity carried out with your credentials. Accounts created with false, duplicate or third-party data may be suspended or terminated.

4. Permitted use

We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the app on your devices, for your own non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and with the rules of the store where the app was obtained.

5. Prohibited conduct

When using Mais Gestão, you may not:

• use the app for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates third-party rights;
• attempt to access accounts, data or areas of the system that are not yours;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to extract the source code;
• copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense or create derivative works from the app;
• interfere with the operation of the service, overload the infrastructure or circumvent technical limits;
• use bots, scrapers or unauthorised automation to access the service;
• remove copyright notices, trademarks or identifying marks from the app.

Breaching these rules authorises immediate suspension or termination of access, without prejudice to any applicable legal measures.

6. Data entered by the user

All entries, categories, accounts, cards, budgets and notes recorded in the app belong to you. We claim no ownership over that content and use it only to operate the features of the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, the legality and the safekeeping of the content you record. We recommend keeping the account active and sync enabled to reduce the risk of data loss if the device is changed, lost or fails.

8. Availability and updates

We work to keep the app available and functioning, but the service is offered “as is”, with no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

• we may release updates, fix defects, change, suspend or discontinue features;
• scheduled or emergency maintenance may temporarily interrupt the service;
• outdated versions of the app may stop working correctly;
• if the service is discontinued, we will give notice through the app or by email with reasonable advance warning, where possible.

9. Intellectual property

The app, its source code, its interface, its texts, icons, trademarks, logos and other visual elements belong to ScaleCodex and are protected by Brazilian and international intellectual property law.

These Terms do not transfer to you any ownership right over the app — only the licence of use described in the Permitted use section.

10. Third-party services

The app relies on third-party services to work, among them the authentication and database infrastructure (Supabase) and the distribution store (Google Play). Those services have their own terms and policies, to which you are also subject when using them.

We are not liable for failures, outages or policy changes from those providers, even where they affect how the app works.

11. Free use and paid features

Mais Gestão is provided free of charge in its current version. If we begin offering paid features, subscriptions or in-app purchases, the prices and the terms of billing, renewal and cancellation will be stated clearly before purchase, and the refund rules of the distribution store will apply.

12. Termination and account deletion

You may close your account at any time, at no cost and without having to give a reason.

We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that breach these Terms, that are used fraudulently, or that pose a risk to the security of the service and of other users.

Account deletion is final: synced data is erased as described in the Privacy Policy and cannot be recovered afterwards.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ScaleCodex is not liable for:

• financial decisions taken on the basis of the information recorded in the app;
• data loss arising from device failure, uninstallation or deletion by the user themselves;
• outages caused by third parties, by the network, or by fortuitous events and force majeure;
• use of the app in breach of these Terms.

Nothing in this section removes the rights granted to consumers by Brazilian law, in particular by the Consumer Protection Code.

14. Privacy and data protection

The processing of your personal data is described in the Mais Gestão Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the app, you declare that you are aware of the practices described there, carried out in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Lei nº 13.709/2018).

15. Audience and minimum age

The app is aimed at the general public and there is no minimum age to use it. Children and adolescents should use the app and create an account with the supervision of a legal guardian, who may request deletion of the account and data at any time.

16. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time to reflect changes in the app or in the law. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the update date shown at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.

Using the app after a new version is published means you accept the updated conditions.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of the user domicile are elected to settle any dispute arising from this document, waiving any other, however privileged.
